Since we have not had in-person classes for over a year, my room has gone through many different phases of being a studio for new mediums that it never would have before. I wanted to make this work to be an ode to the room that has provided me with the space to accommodate every new project from book arts to textile sculpture. For me, being able to make a tufted rug is the epitome of what I am capable of creating in this space because it requires a lot of preparation and building; the finished rug is a monument to the progression I have been able to make without an official studio space.
